Prime Minister Mark Carney during Tuesday's Question Period was grilled on the Liberals' attempt to skirt producing a spring budget.The House the night before voted in favour of compelling cabinet to release a fall budget, a non-binding amendment to the Throne Speech delivered by King Charles last week.Four Liberals were no-shows, and the motion passed by two votes with all opposition members in favour."We take note of last night's motion. But what Canadians deserve [are equalization transfers,]" said Carney."I realize he's new here, but all those things belong in a budget," replies Tory MP Kelly McCauley. "Unlike the member opposite, I know the difference between main estimates and a budget!" shouts Carney.
