Liberal leader and so-called “outsider” Mark Carney gave himself away as an elitist on Radio-Canada Thursday night.
When asked if he “still buys strawberries from the US” amid the ongoing tariff war, Carney was stumped.
“Uh…ok…um…I have to give you a strange answer, because as prime minister, I no longer buy strawberries, and all that,” stuttered Carney.
“Someone does it for me.”
The Liberals upon first hearing of President Donald Trump’s tariff threats over Canada’s weak border security and drug trafficking problems immediately launched a “buy Canadian” campaign, and urged Canadians to cancel their trips to the US and stop buying American goods.
