CALGARY — Young entrepreneurs set up shop on July 19 as part of Lemonade Day, a growing youth entrepreneurship initiative..“We have 1,175 participants across the City of Calgary setting up lemonade stands both this Saturday and next Saturday,” said Taran Romain, an organizer for Lemonade Day – Calgary.Lemonade Day is a free experiential program designed to teach youth practical business and financial literacy skills. Through a guided digital application, participants plan, build, and market their own lemonade stands. The program, which began in the United States in 2007, is now in its third year in Calgary, hosted by a local marketing firm.
