Police are asking for the public’s help identifying two men involved in a violent road rage incident that left an 18-year-old man seriously injured.The assault happened around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, in the 6100 block of 4 Ave. N.E. A mother was teaching her son how to park their SUV when a white pickup truck pulled up aggressively behind them. The truck then circled around, made a U-turn and stopped beside their vehicle.Two men exited the pickup and tried to enter the SUV. When the teen got out to protect his mother, he was attacked with a weapon. The assailants fled after the boy’s mother called police. The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries but has since been released.Investigators have gathered CCTV footage from the area and are now appealing to the public to help identify the suspects and their vehicle.The first man is described as having a light complexion, between 5-ft. 8ins and 6-ft., wearing a navy T-shirt and black pants, and possibly a face mask. The second man also had a light complexion, was between 5-ft. 8-ins. and 6-ft., with short dark hair, possible facial hair, and was wearing a black hat, white T-shirt and black pants.The vehicle involved is believed to be a 1999 to 2007 white Chevrolet Silverado with an object extending out of the truck bed.Police also believe that passengers in a nearby white Ford Fusion may have witnessed the incident and possibly recorded it.
