Conservative-appointed Sen. Denise Batters has called out Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s senate-appointment process as a self-serving “farce.”

Batters in a social media post on Monday said Trudeau’s “fake ‘Independent’ Advisory Board hasn’t filed a report in 23 months” — and he’s named 27 senators since then.

“Five months ago (!), the Trudeau government Senate leader told me ‘there is a report in progress,’” wrote Batters.

“Where is it?”

Batters included in her post a clip from Senate Question Period where she exposed how Trudeau stacked the Senate selection process.

“The Trudeau PMO chooses all the advisory panelists, and the PMO chooses the senators,” Batters told the Senate.

“Nothing about that is independent. All roads lead to PMO.”

“Of course, this is why the Senate appointment advisory boards are filled with major Liberal donors, Trudeau foundation alumni, former Liberal ministers, senior staff — the same ‘independent’ ranks from which Prime Minister Trudeau draws his independent senators.”

“The Liberal party database and the PMO is working overtime.”
