Freedom Convoy affiliate Pat King received a three-month concurrent sentence for his mischief charges from the time of the 2022 COVID-19 mandate protest in Ottawa.

The judge on Wednesday said King receives nine-months credit for time served and a further three-month sentence to be served concurrently.

“I am satisfied the conditional sentence is not a risk to the community and is appropriate given the PSR [presentence report],” said the judge, according to a post from Right Blend in the courtroom.

The Crown wanted 10 years.

King was convicted on five criminal charges in November in the Ontario Superior Court. The charges were mischief, counselling to commit mischief, counselling to obstruct a public or peace officer, and two counts of disobeying a court order.

While King's attorney asked for time-served, Crown prosecutor Moiz Karimjee asked for a 10-year sentence, calling King’s offences the "worst kind," according to the CBC.

The maximum penalty for mischief is 10 years.
